Parking spaces are often available along the streets, and meters, known locally as 'parquimetros', are never far away. The parking meters in Buenos Aires are operated by tokens (fichas), which can be bought at either local kiosks or coin machines. Also available are city car parks (estacionamientos) and parking bays (playas), although spaces quickly fill up.
